// Ivan SlavichIvan Slavich is the Head of Retail of the Retail operation for ActewAGL & TransACT and the Chief Executive Officer TransACT, who are responsible for the provision of electricity, gas, water, telephone, broadband, pay TV and mobile phone service in the ACT and surrounding region and is responsible for all aspects of retailing such as wholesale purchasing, marketing, customer service, sales and product development. He is a Director of the Australian Science Festival, MacKillop Catholic College and The Australian Complex Trauma Research Institute, has held Directorships with the Energy Retailers Association of Australia, Mawson Primary School and the Ukrainian Club. Mr Slavich is the Chief Executive Officer of the ACT based telecommunications company TransACT. He is also the Head of Retail with the ActewAGL Retail Partnership, having previously served almost 8 years as the ActewAGL General Manager Retail. Mr Slavich is a prominent figure in the ACT business community through his work with ActewAGL and more recently, as CEO and a director of TransACT Communications Pty Ltd. He has tertiary qualifications covering business and finance and extensive experience at a senior and executive management level, including with the Australian Gas Light Company prior to joining ActewAGL. In addition to finance his expertise covers marketing, public relations, interaction with the agencies regulating ActewAGL, and he has acted as ActewAGL CEO on many occasions when former CEO of ActewAGL, John Mackay, was absent from duty. Charity work is another area where Mr Slavich has performed with distinction and last year he put together a team that raised well over $150,000 for kids with cancer via Camp Quality’s car rally and fundraiser. He is involved in the Camp Quality fundraiser again this year with an even better fundraising performance well under way. Overall Mr Slavich is a well respected family man and increasingly well known public figure in the ACT. |
